|Tim Pawley Joins DPM Sales Team |
|DPM, Westerham, the UK’s leading pre-owned printing equipment dealer, has announced the appointment of Tim Pawley to the position of Sales Manager. Tim brings with him 25-plus years of experience in the used equipment sector. His experience has been gained in a wide variety of roles, both in the UK and overseas. As such, he has been in a unique position to observe the industry evolve and come of age, from a unique selection of perspectives.|
Commenting on his appointment, Tim Pawley said: “Having been involved in used machinery for a good number of years, I have been able to see DPM grow to a position of leadership in the sector, both in the UK and internationally. The company has an excellent reputation throughout the industry for realistic pricing, great negotiating ability, and excellent technical support. It really is the case now that if you want to source a suitable used machine for your business, just give the specification to DPM – they will find it!”
The company’s move into the world of digital machinery is also seen as an excellent addition to the DPM offering by Tim: “Enquiries for digital equipment are increasing, reflecting a trend for printers to consider this as a more mainstream addition at grass roots level. I believe that all print businesses will eventually consist of a digital department and a litho department – that level of flexibility is becoming essential. Used digital presses are an ideal way for a small to medium sized print operation to test that part of the market. A good machine that has been reconditioned will still cost you less than half of the price of a new model.”
Speaking about Tim’s appointment, Dean Beckett, Sales Director of DPM, said: “We are delighted to have been able to secure the knowledge, skills and experience of Tim for the DPM team. We feel optimistic about the readiness for the UK printing market to begin a programme of re-investment. Obviously the past three years have seen investment levels in the UK for capital equipment fall, but the past three months have seen not only our enquiry levels rise, but confirmed sales and installations are well above those of the past 24 months, so Tim’s arrival has been very timely”.
