Keynote Presentation ‘Consumer Behaviour – understanding and influencing consumers’

Dr Gorkan AhmetogluPresented by Dr Gorkan Ahmetoglu, Lecturer of Business Psychology at University College London, co-founder of Meta Profiling, and author of Personality 101, this talk will give you a scientific understanding about how consumers really choose products, why, and how to influence their decisions in your favour.

The insight is based on years of scientific data on consumer choice and purchasing behaviour that is explained by psychology, neuroscience, and behavioural economics. In this talk you will learn:

  • What consumers actually do – and why it doesn’t always make sense
  • That to understand consumer choice, you need to understand the consumer brain
  • Why influencing is about systematic engineering of the offer and the environment in which the offer is made
  • Why small and trivial cues like colours, sounds, numbers and smells can be equally important as hard facts like quality and price
