Anna Stretton, Head of HR

Anne Stretton BPIF

Anna is the Head if HR for the BPIF, with responsibility for the Eastern Region. Anna manages a team of 7 HR Advisers who each support a region. We cover many aspects of HR including a HR Healthcheck to check compliance with best practice and employment law, onsite support, online support, training and development solutions and well as professional advice in all areas of HR.

She has over thirteen years’ experience of HR and over three years with the BPIF of working with members to identify areas of support required and then helping them to find solutions

Chris Selby, Sales and Specialist Services Director

Chris Selby BPIF

Chris is the Sales and Specialist Services Director for the BPIF, having previously held the positions of Regional Director North and Head of Sales and Membership Development Manager. Chris has a team of Specialist Advisers covering many aspects of support for members including Technical, Business Development, Standards and Certifications, Human Resources and Health and Safety.

He has over sixteen years’ experience within the BPIF of working with members to identify areas of support required and then helping them to find solutions. Before joining the BPIF Chris held Business Development, Divisional Sales and General Sales Manager roles within print and other sectors.

Chris will be advising on:

  • Colour management certification schemes
  • Sales development and training
  • Cost rate reviews
  • Marketing support
  • ISO 9001/14001 transition

Ursula Daly, Training Director

Ursula Daly

Ursula heads up the training team at BPIF as Programme Director. Responsible for all apprenticeship and management programmes and a wealth of additional workshops, Ursula and her team provide essential training to the printing industry, ensuring companies have the right skillset to achieve their aims.

Passionate about making sure the industry is up to date with Government legislation on training, she frequently attends strategic meetings with AELP, CBI, TAF and BIS (now DfE). Ursula has worked in the printing industry for 25 years previously holding roles at ICL, Astron/RR Donnelley and Bezier.

Ursula will be advising on:

  • Apprenticeships
  • Apprenticeship levy
  • New funding rules
  • Engaging with schools

Nicola Langley, Head of Legal

Nicola Langley

Nicola Langley is Head of Legal at the BPIF, a Commercial Solicitor with over 25 years’ experience of advising businesses of all sizes, and both in practice and as an in-house lawyer.

Nicola joined the BPIF in 2005 as the first Commercial Solicitor and provides advice and support to Platinum members on a variety of commercial legal questions.

  • Debt collection

Mandy Robson, Head of Health, Safety & Environment

Mandy Robson BPIF

Mandy holds the role of Head of Health, Safety & Environment within BPIF, leading  through continual HSE compliance and improvement to support BPIF members nationally. Joining in 2014, Mandy has always been passionate in supporting members with not only their compliance aspects on site, but to provide best practice recommendations to ensure printing & packaging sites hold the utmost in safety through all that they do.

With a focus on engaging employees with health & safety, Mandy holds a passion in pursuing ideas to bring health & safety alive on sites and educating employees to take health & safety seriously to ensure they return home each day in the same shape they turned up for work.

Mandy will be advising on:

Garry Mellor, Senior Process Improvement Engineer

Garry has over 34 years manufacturing experience in the Printing, Aerospace and Defence industries, working in production, engineering and operations management.

Throughout his career, Garry has been involved with continuous improvement and implementing lean techniques. He has taught and led teams through numerous lean projects, empowering individuals and delivering tangible results.

As an experienced manager and manufacturing professional, Garry understands the business imperative for every Lean improvement project, and is committed to the delivery of manufacturing best practice techniques for productivity improvement to suit the UK Printing Industry.
